Sussex Bodyblast Members at Brooks 2014

The dedication, training, self believe & team work makes it all possible, achievable and proven that "i can't" does not belong in the bodyblast camp!

BODYBLAST FITNESS GROUP

VS

 BROOKS 10km 2014

Meh, get up, shower and race, easy!
I dare that be said to our blasters, the dedication, sweat and tears have well and truly gone into the lead up over the months before Brooks.
21 of our blasters hit the Brooks, all earning their medals and smashing Personal goals, milestones and for some, something they very truly believed was not possible a little over 3 months ago.

Bodyblast fitness only started in March 2014, kickstarting with circuit classes (blast style of course) and progressed quickly with groups reaching 20+, we quickly adapted to these numbers and created more classes to cope with the demand and one being our Run Group and Tank track training.

With fitness levels increasing week by week and running distances along with speed also improving at great levels, we proposed a group run at Brooks!
Awesome amount of blasters entered and we had a target date to focus on.
Over the months leading to the brooks, we included extra training dates, tank track training and specific 8-10km runs.

Awesome Tank Tracks!
Not all will agree to the awesomeness of the tank tracks when mentioned but in our eyes as trainers the awesomeness could not be more present in the form on this mountain.
A 1km track up hill with a elevation in excess of 180mtr over split levels offers great training opportunities and goal setting.
The journey to the top is tough, its soul destroying but a immense relieving accomplishment when at the top.
Surrounded by fields and a view of the distant bottom you now have the choice of a 1km return down hill or our 5km, 9km loop.
These training days proved that hills improve your running skills, cardio & endurance.
A comment from our blaster Nicola after completing the tank tracks in October.
Nicola Rendal-Jones So so so chuffed I managed to do that run. Wouldn't have been able to 3 months ago before I joined SBB. So thank you Gavin O'Mally-Richardson and Terry Matthews, the blast sessions have paid off!!!
Bodyblast run club paid a good part of the training of our blasters with our Monday evening class being a skills focused session incorporating stair drills, sprints and even the odd "old school" game of bulldog.

Remembrance run 2014

Running became a area smashed amongst our personal trainer clients also, with some awesome efforts and first time 5km & 10km ever achieved and setting some great bench mark times to work against and improve on.

Remembrance day was celebrated by Bodyblast with a organised small 10km run around Hassocks and ditching in memory of those who gave their lives. We raised a impressive £49 and got some blasters to their first ever 10km distance.

Beach Run

The self motivation between blasters and new friends that have come together through our group can not be missed when talking about goals being hit, we set up a Bodyblast group page for blasters to chat and organise meets between themselves, and that they have, we've had beach runs organised by Mary, of the cuff tank track runs by individuals and groups, all counting towards the awesomeness shown at brooks 2014.
